This piece of artwork is called Drawn To You. I named it that because of what it represents for me. It is an underwater scene with fish and a broken heart. What most people don't see is the symbolism in it. The broken heart in this drawing is me. The fish are my friends who are always there for me. I put my heart underwater to represent the feeling of drowning. The light shining through the surface of the water represents the light of God. It shines through even the darkest of waters and brings light to those in darkness. I often feel like I am drowning in my thoughts and emotions. With god, my friends, and my family I am able to pull though and be who I am today. This piece tells you a lot about me, something you cannot see until you get to know me.
The Beginning Of The End 2020 Colored Pencil 7 x 9
This piece of art is called The Beginning of the End, because of the story behind. The story is about a student and her teacher. She has been training all her life in self defense all her life, and it is now time for her to test her skills. If she passes this test she can go from a student to a teacher. I put mountains in the background to add beauty and character. The sunset represents the day coming to an end just like this chapter in her life. I have always loved martial arts and longed to go to Tennessee and see the mountains. I plan on training in Krav Maga and moving to Tennessee when I grow up. This is the story I sometimes wish was mine.
In My Mind 2020 Pens 6.75 x 9
This piece of art is called In My Mind, it is about a girl and her daily struggles. She is dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts constantly. Her mind is filled with confusing thoughts and emotions. To most it seems like she has the perfect life, and not even her friends know what she is going through. The monster represents a bad person, someone she is afraid of, the person who has hurt her the most. This is my story and the story of my friends and family. Our story is not yet complete, and we have choices we can make that will forever change our lives. One of our mistakes in life is that we often think that everyone else`s life is fine, and that we are the only ones with problems. Always remember that everyone has their problems, their insecurities, and pain. So don't judge someone when you don't know what they have been through and what they are going through.
